A Steady Voice in the Biggest Year of a Scholar's Life
Mentors play a special role in a scholar's journey. Applications, essays, deadlines, and decisions come fast in senior year, and for a first-generation student, there is often no one at home who has been through it before.
That is where you come in. Through regular meetings, you offer encouragement, perspective, and guidance as your scholar navigates the path to college, explores careers, and works through the transitions that come with being first in their family to do this.
You will not be guessing at any of it. Every mentor is matched with one scholar and backed by Green Halo's staff, and all mentors meet virtually as a group once a month to build mentorship skills and trade what is working.

You Don't Need to Be an Admissions Expert
Most of our mentors started with nothing more than a degree, some life experience, and the memory of how confusing this process can be. The admissions knowledge comes with the monthly training. The encouragement is the part only you can bring.
What we ask
A Bachelor's degree (required)
